Saudi Arabian SBL round 4 best performance: Antwan Scott (by Hoops Agents)- November 5, 2023
The 31-year old player was the main contributor (26 points, five rebounds and eight assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Ohod (#12, 0-4), the league's bottom-ranked team 81-71. Al Hilal maintains the 2nd position in Saudi Arabian SBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Al Hilal already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Scott had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Al Hilal's top player in his first season with the team. Former Colorado State University star has very solid stats this year. Scott is in league's top in points (7th best: 23.3ppg), assists (2nd best: 9.0apg) and averages impressive 4.7spg,61.9% FGP and 47.6% from behind 3-point line. The second best player in last round's games was young American Anthony Fairley (203-F-1999) of Al Fateh. Fairley had a very good evening with a double-double of 26 points and 15 rebounds. Of course Al Fateh cruised to a 83-76 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Al Khaleej (#7, 1-3). This victory allowed Al Fateh to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 3-1 record is not bad and everything may still change. Fairley is a newcomer at Al Fateh, but is already one of team's top players. Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Josh Nicholas (190-G-1998) of Deba (#11). Nicholas got into 30-points club by scoring 38 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds . Despite Nicholas' great performance Deba lost 67-91 to the league's current leader Ittihad (#4, 4-0). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Deba can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 4 games. Nicholas has individually a great season in Saudi Arabia. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 33.3ppg (best scorer). Other top performing players last week: 4. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
